Based on a true story, dejected and frustrated suburban housewife Connie Kaminski, a three-time gold medal-winning former Olympic racewalker, has followed the conventional life path set for her by society ever since she was young. Until she and her best friend hatch an illegal coupon-club scheme that scams millions from corporations.
This film was designed by the incomparable Adri Siriwatt, who expertly used texture and a grit of reality to ground the viewer in Connie’s life. It was important to have all graphics in Connie's world fade into the background with the coupons reflecting the color she's missing in her life. We aimed to make the coupons and everything coupon related POP with bright, bold and vivid hues, all the while still holding a true-to-life look.
For this project we had to create a TON of coupons. Boxes and boxes of loose coupons, hero coupons, circulars full of them, and coupon scam sheets. I led the graphics team in obtaining, branding and designing templates to be able to produce the volume of thousands we needed.
