Summer of 69 is a 2025 Hulu raunchy coming-of-age comedy following an awkward high school senior, Abby (Sam Morelos) who hires an exotic dancer (Chloe Fineman) to help her seduce her crush before graduation. The film focuses on friendship, self-confidence, and modernizing 1980s teen sex comedy tropes.
This film was designed by Adri Siriwatt, one of my favorite designers to work with. Even though this film takes place in current times, she aimed to give it a heavy, retro design aesthetic. With a mash up of 70s, 80s and modern style, we utilized golds, browns, and rich warm colors with pops of cool teal. Abby's world is alive with color and full of textured backgrounds.

Post & Playback
Abby spends her after-school hours streaming video games for money on the internet. We needed to create an interface similar to Twitch for her streaming platform. I prepared playback graphic assets as well as assets for post to seamlessly animate. This included Glitch branding, streaming activity, followers, text notifications and a Glitch interface.
In addition to the Glitch cyber world, I also created various graphics of text conversations, a payment app, and facebook invite, among other post graphics. These graphics appeared both on screen and practically on the character's devices.
